Over the years The Merchant of Venice has been banned from teaching systems, performed by Nazis and translated into Yiddish. It has been embraced, rejected, used as a weapon and as a balm. Come and find out what you think.

We will read THE MERCHANT OF VENICE in the staggeringly atmospheric surroundings of BERDOULAT, right next to the Royal Crescent in BATH. We will then go to BATH THEATRE ROYAL for the smash hit RSC production, starring the inimitable TRACY-ANN OBERMAN and directed by BRIGID LARMOUR.
