Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this BELTER of a play. There is something so intoxicating about a remorseless baddie with a sense of humour. The flowers are out. The sun is shining. And crucially, you are not related to Richard III, which means you can enjoy watching him be devious from a safe distance.

There is so much juice in this play, AND you get to learn about/ remind yourself of some key bits of English Medieval history. Which is of course what you have always wanted.

We will read RICHARD III at Claire’s cosy home in Islington and then go to the SHAKESPEARE’S GLOBE for ELLE WHILE’S production, starring the Globe’s Artistic Director, the fabulous MICHELLE TERRY as Richard.
