Setting the scene: The nights are drawing in. All you really want is to eat and drink something delicious while cosying up with a group of friends to discuss the merits (and flaws) of the Roman Republic, pride, art, class, mother-son relationships and all the other goodies Shakespeare packs into this play. Better come and do that then.

We will read CORIOLANUS at a ridiculously cosy home in De Beauvoir, Hackney and then go to THE NATIONAL THEATRE to watch the magnificent DAVID OYELOWO play the titualar role.

• Tuesday 5th November 7pm. We will go to THE NATIONAL THEATRE to see LYNDSEY TURNER’S production of CORIOLANUS (And of course go for drinks and a discussion after!)
